Wat Pradoo, revisited on 2558

Coming back to Wat pradoo on 2015(BE.2558) with my parents, was disappointed due to Luang phor is not around in the temple as phor has a lot appointment and blessing ceremony to attend. In thailand, well known monks are always invited to chanting ceremony due to thier baramee and their wiccha level.

 The hall is finally done, very beautifully done, you got to see it with your own eyes.

The second trip with my friends to Lp surasak temple, visiting to see the upgrading, in my previous post the hall is the midst of building. According to my good thai friend that share, in thailand, to use a whole tree trunk to build a pillar is not possible as they control strictly by the government and not allow to just chop the trees off just for building. This explained why lp is really well respected by the royal family and allow Wat pradoo to use a whole tree trunk(not abusing authority), more of a certain reason to use the holy spirit's reside in the trees.

Arriving at the temple, we are told there are a lot devotees lining up to meet lp in the morning.

Of cause the most important here is photo of lp surasak painstakingly goes up to nakhon pathom to learn making biagae(cowrie shells) from lp jeud/cher. According to my thai friend, lp cher approved lp surasak made good biagae no different from lp cher.

A little brief on lp maha surasak, whom is also known as Chao Khun Surasak (as of 2019), Ck Surasak (หลวงพ่อมหาสุรศักดิ์ อติสกฺโข) is a famous master reside in Samut Songkram province, Wat pradoo phra aram luang the name of this temple is no unfamiliar to many locals there, the every early days in samut songkram, this temple abbot was Lp jeang which is also one of the masters which is well known, many royal family did visited this temple in the Ayutthaya period which also the King Rama V visited and stayed at Wat Pradoo. The king will travel by boat and currently the boat is stored at the temple as a gift by the royal family. The temple is also classified as a Royal monastery by the King.

Lp surasak also learned many wiccha from the old master in the Ayutthaya period, his famous and well known is the takrut hua jai lo kathat (mini silver or gold or other materials sheet that inscripted the heart of a yantra and rolled up, tied with the 7 colors strings), the very famous master that taught ck surasak is lp yod whose master is lp jai wat sadet (the takrut lokatat hailed the highest price in thailand).

Ck surasak sacred amulets are always blessed with metta(compassion), wealth and good luck. Of cause there are some amulets are made for protection.

Wat Pradoo, the Royal Temple locates at 54 moo 2 Watpradoo supoistrict, Ampawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. Now it has been classified as the Royal Temple instead of the people’s one. It belongs to the initial classification of Royal Temple of regular kind since the date of 29 June B.E. 2551 (2008 A.D.)
